Social Impact Programming

Busy Brie engages in social impact programming that centers youth violence prevention and intervention through carefully curated experiences— each designed to plant small but lasting pieces of hope.

Pieces of Hope was born from the belief that everything we do should leave behind a meaningful imprint in the lives of those we encounter. Founded through the heart and vision of Busy Brie, this initiative uplifts, supports, and empowers youth and young adults who are at-risk, high-risk, or impacted by systems and violence. Rooted in lived experience, professional expertise, and scholarly passion, each program transforms pain into purpose by equipping young people with tools to heal, grow, and lead.

Culturally responsive programming includes:

  • Truth Be Told Workshop – A writing and storytelling workshop where participants reflect on their journeys and publish their own books

  • HeART Pieces Workshop – A therapeutic arts-based group focused on creativity, emotional wellness, and healing

  • HER BLOOM workshop – A dynamic empowerment series for girls and young women that nurtures confidence, leadership, sisterhood, and self-expression

We also offer scholarship opportunities, community events, and restorative spaces that foster connection, growth, and hope.

Pieces of Hope is more than programming—it’s a movement to reclaim stories, restore possibility, and help young people bloom into their full potential.

  • A girls empowerment series designed for youth ages 13–26, focused on leadership, wellness, and self-worth. Weekly sessions cover topics such as boundaries, beauty standards, sisterhood, and resilience ••• culminating in a formal celebration gala.

  • An 8-week therapeutic arts group (not art therapy) that uses visual arts as a tool for processing emotion, exploring identity, and fostering healing. The program concludes with a community art showcase, where participants present their work and celebrate their growth.

  • A 10-week writing program where youth and young adults explore their personal stories, build confidence through self-expression, and become published co-authors in a collective anthology on Amazon.
