Social Impact Programming

Pieces of Hope was born from the belief that everything we do should leave behind a small piece of hope in the lives of those we encounter. Founded through the heart and vision of Busy Brie, this initiative exists to uplift, support, and empower youth and young adults who are at-risk, high-risk, or impacted by systems and violence.

Rooted in both lived professional experience and scholarly passion, these programs are designed to transform pain into purpose , equipping young people with the tools to heal, express themselves, and lead.

Our culturally responsive programming includes:

  • Truth Be Told Workshop – where participants explore their stories and publish their own books

  • HeART Pieces Workshop – a therapeutic arts group centered on creativity, self-expression, and healing

  • HER BLOOM – a dynamic girls’ empowerment series that cultivates confidence, wellness, leadership, and sisterhood

We also offer scholarship opportunities, community events, and intentional spaces for connection, growth, and restoration.

Pieces of Hope is more than programming. It’s a commitment to creating safe, empowering spaces where young people can reclaim their stories, rise in their truth, and bloom into their full potential.

  • A girls empowerment series designed for youth ages 13–26, focused on leadership, wellness, and self-worth. Weekly sessions cover topics like boundaries, beauty standards, sisterhood, and resilience — culminating in a formal celebration gala.

  • An 8-week therapeutic arts group (not art therapy) that uses visual arts as a tool for processing emotion, exploring identity, and fostering healing. The program concludes with a community art showcase, where participants present their work and celebrate their growth.

  • A 10-week writing program where youth and young adults explore their personal stories, build confidence through self-expression, and become published co-authors in a collective anthology on Amazon.
